With RTX 2070, 10th-gen Core i7 and a full set of Razer peripherals.
The Razer Blade Pro 17 is one of the most popular gaming laptops, with high-end performance in a slim aluminium chassis, and it’s also part of the best Black Friday laptop deal we’ve spotted so far. Right now you can pick up a fully kitted out model from Ebuyer for £1600, down from its usual price of £2300, a savings of £700.
That’s a lot to spend on any laptop, but for a high-end laptop with RTX 2070 graphics card, 10th-gen Core i7 processor and 300Hz screen it’s an excellent price – especially given how much better the Razer Blade Pro looks and feels compared to more barebones options from the likes of Dell and HP, thanks to its 20mm thick aluminium unibody design. That’s the same basic concept as the MacBook Pro, but in a black finish that looks and feels ultra high-end.
We actually tested the 15-inch version of this laptop with the same specs (see the YouTube video embedded below), and were thoroughly impressed with how much performance is squeezed into such a portable machine. You won’t be able to hit 300fps in every game, for sure, but the Core i7 and RTX 2070 combination is potent enough to unlock extremely high frame-rates in esports titles while still having enough firepower to hit a solid 60fps with RTX effects in most – if not all – recent and upcoming AAA releases, like Cyberpunk 2077.
This price is also a good deal because you get a bunch of freebies with it – including the £100 “Razer Power Up Bundle”, which includes a Cynosa Lite gaming keyboard, a Razer Viper ultra-light mouse and a Kraken X Lite gaming headset. There’s also a Razer-branded bandana mask and a Hydrator water bottle, both of which are actually really handy inclusions as we all continue through lockdown.

In terms of the full specs on offer here, you’re looking at a 10th-gen Intel Core i7 processor and RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics card, backed by 16GB of dual-channel 2933MHz RAM and a capacious 512GB NVMe SSD. (This can even be upgraded down the line, with support for up to 64GB of RAM and a free second NVMe M.2 slot.)
The 17-inch screen has Full HD resolution (1920×1080) at a refresh rate of 300Hz, making it ideal for fast-paced games like first-person shooters – think Call of Duty, CSGO and Valorant – or racing games like Forza Horizon 4. This is actually a factory-calibrated IPS panel screen, with 100 per cent coverage of the sRGB colour gamut and great viewing angles, making this a great machine for content creation as well.
With that in mind, it’s perhaps no surprise that connectivity is another strong point. You get three full-size USB ports, two USB-C including one with Thunderbolt 3, a headphone/mic combo 3.5mm port, HDMI 2.0b and an SD card reader. There isn’t really anything missing here – you could perhaps demand an even more powerful RTX 2080 Super Max-P graphics card or a desktop-class processor, but even that would make the laptop cost way more and require far more cooling than this slim frame can provide, so all in all it’s a well-balanced build that straddles the line between power and portability well.
To sum up then, £1600 for this Razer Blade Pro 17 bundle is the best gaming laptop deal so far this Black Friday, so we recommend it if you’re in the market for a high-end machine.
